Opening Ceremony for Parkway held October 1
9/30/2009 - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and our partners are pleased to announce the opening of the Cecil Commerce Parkway (State Road 23) with an opening ceremony held to commemorate the historic event, October 1, 2009. The date is Thursday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. The location is just north of Normandy Boulevard at the intersection with New World Avenue. Project personnel will be at the Normandy Boulevard location, just west of Chaffee Road, to assist you in reaching the ceremony site. FDOT invites you to participate as one of the first riders on the new four-lane limited access highway between Interstate 10 and 103rd Street. This $62 million project will promote economic development on the western side of Jacksonville as well as provide a vital connection to the Cecil Commerce Center from Interstate 10.
