Project Info
Two lanes were added from 103rd Street to New World Avenue and four lanes were constructed from new World Avenue to south of I-10. This segment along with the Interstate 10 interchange officially opened to traffic on October 1, 2009.
This project included:
- constructing two lanes from 103rd Street (SR 134) north to the new interchange with Interstate 10
- constructing two additional lanes connecting New World Avenue to the new Interchange, making Cecil Commerce Center Parkway (Branan Field-Chaffee Expressway) a 2-lane limited access facility from 103rd Street to New World Avenue and a 4-lane limited access facility from New World Avenue to the I-10 interchange, and
- adding proposed signalized intersections in this segment at SR 228 (Normandy Boulevard) and at New World Avenue
